What surfaces can I use Tex on?
Tex is suitable for all fabric car interiors, including woven upholstery, Alcantara, carpet, floor mats and fabric door inserts. Do not use it on leather or vinyl panels.
Do I need to dilute Tex before use?
No. Tex is a ready-to-use product straight from the can. Spray it pure; there is no mixing or dilution required.
How do I apply Tex correctly?
Vacuum the fabric thoroughly first to remove loose dirt. Shake the can, then hold it upright and spray from roughly 20 cm away. Wipe the foam away with a clean microfibre cloth and allow the fabric to air dry.
Does Tex need water to work?
No, that is one of its key advantages. The active foam lifts and encapsulates dirt through its own chemistry and the mechanical action of wiping, so you do not need water to rinse or extract.
Will Tex leave any residue or stiffness in the fabric?
Used as directed, Tex is formulated to clean without leaving a sticky or soapy residue. Wipe firmly with a clean cloth and the fabric should feel clean and soft once dry.
How does Tex deal with odours?
The mechanical action of wiping physically removes the dirt and substances responsible for bad smells. Tex also leaves a fresh, pleasant scent after application. For deeply embedded odours, a second pass or a dedicated odour eliminator may be needed.
Can I use Tex in an aerosol-sensitive environment?
The can is classed DANGER under H222 (extremely flammable aerosol). Use it in a well-ventilated area away from open flames, heat sources and sparks. Check the full Safety Data Sheet before use.
How much coverage does a 600ml can give?
Coverage depends on how heavily soiled the fabric is and how liberally you spray. For targeted stain removal on seats and mats the 600ml can will cover a full interior multiple times. It is not rated for a specific square-metre yield by the manufacturer.
