How do I apply Gtechniq PW Panel Wipe correctly?
Shake the bottle well and put on your gloves before starting. Spray PW onto a clean buffing cloth - not directly onto the panel - then wipe the product across the surface. Immediately over-wipe with a dry MF1 microfibre to pick up any dissolved residues. Work one panel at a time so the product does not sit too long before you wipe it off.
Can I use PW on PPF, vinyl, plastic or rubber trim?
No. Gtechniq specifically states that PW is not suitable for use on PPF, vinyl, plastic or rubber. The high hydrocarbon content can damage these materials. Keep it strictly to original factory paintwork panels.
Is PW safe on smart repairs or resprayed panels?
No, and Gtechniq is clear on this. The hydrocarbon content in PW can tarnish smart repairs and resprays. If you are unsure whether a panel has been repaired or resprayed, test a small inconspicuous area first. For any confirmed smart-repaired or recently resprayed surfaces, avoid PW entirely.
How long does PW take to flash off before I can apply a coating?
PW is formulated to flash off quickly once wiped. After your final dry microfibre wipe, the panel should be ready for coating application almost immediately.
