What dilution ratio should I use with a foam gun?
For a foam gun, you can run Extreme Mega Foam anywhere from pure (100 ml undiluted) up to a 1:9 ratio. Start at around 1:4 for heavily soiled vehicles and adjust down for lighter contamination. The dense foam clings best when the product isn't over-diluted.
Can I use this on alloy wheels and wheel arches?
Yes. For rims, dilute to 1:10 (10%) through a nebuliser and allow a short dwell time before rinsing. The formula is VDA-tested safe on aluminium, so it won't etch bare alloy or lacquered wheels under normal use.
Is it safe on rubber seals, plastic trim and painted surfaces?
It is. Fra-Ber specifically formulated Extreme Mega Foam with vegetable-origin surfactants to minimise stress-cracking on plastics, and the product carries VDA compliance covering painted panels, rubber seals and aluminium. Avoid prolonged dwell times on bare, unprotected trim if you're unsure.
How long should I leave it to dwell before rinsing?
Typically 2-5 minutes is sufficient for road grime and light grease. For heavier contamination or insect residue, give it closer to 5 minutes. Don't let it dry on the surface - work in shade and rinse before the foam starts to break down fully.
What ratio works through a Dosatron or pump system?
Via a Dosatron, set the dilution between 0.8% and 2% depending on soil level. For a pump system (12 L/h flow), 10-20 pulses delivers roughly 8-20 ml per cycle. Store the product above 5°C and keep algaecides and bactericides out of the dosing plant.
Can this be used on lorries and campervans as well?
Yes, the formula is designed for cars, lorries and campervans. For larger vehicles with heavier soiling, the nebuliser ratio is 1:25 to 1:50 rather than the 1:40 to 1:60 used on cars, giving you more concentrated coverage where you need it.
