Does this sander come with a battery and charger?
No. The ORE 2-125 18-EC C is a tool-only unit. It is compatible with Flex 18V 2.5 Ah and 5.0 Ah battery packs, but neither a battery nor a charger is included in the box. If you already own Flex 18V batteries, they will work directly with this machine.
What abrasive pads and backing pads can I use with it?
The sander uses a Velcro (hook-and-loop) 125mm backing pad with a multi-hose extraction system. It suits all standard 125mm diameter abrasive discs, so your existing 5-inch foam correction and finishing pads will fit without adapters.
What speed range should I use for paint correction versus finishing?
The machine offers 4 electronic speed preselection settings across a 6000-10000 rpm no-load range (12000-20000 orbit rate). For heavier defect removal, use a higher setting with an appropriate cutting pad. Drop to the lower settings for refinement and finishing passes to avoid introducing heat or marring.
How does the dust extraction work?
The ORE 2-125 has two options: integrated extraction via an onboard dust filter bag, or external extraction through a Ø 27mm port. For workshop use you can connect the Flex antistatic suction hose SH 27x3.5m AS (article 445.045) to a vacuum for cleaner operation. The backing pad's multi-hose system channels dust directly away from the surface.
What is the E-signal quick-stop function and why does it matter?
When you release the switch, the quick-stop function actively brakes the backing pad so it stops almost immediately instead of spinning freely. This prevents the pad from trailing across a freshly corrected area and potentially introducing new marks. It also makes the tool safer to handle between moves.
