What surfaces can Gommalux be used on?
Gommalux is designed for rubber tyres and exterior plastic parts such as bumpers, fascias and mirror housings. It can also be used on interior plastic trim. Avoid applying it to painted surfaces, glass or metal.
What finish does each format give?
The 250 ml and 600 ml aerosol formats leave an extra-shiny gloss finish. The 750 ml and 1 L non-aerosol liquid formats leave a semi-matt finish. The liquid can be diluted with water to reduce the sheen further if you prefer a near-flat, natural look.
How do I apply the aerosol format?
Shake the can well before use. Hold it vertically and spray from a distance of 15-20 cm onto the tyre or trim surface. Wait a few seconds, then wipe evenly with a clean, dry cloth. Work on one section at a time for the most even coverage.
How do I apply the liquid (non-aerosol) format?
Apply the liquid to a foam applicator or cloth and spread it evenly over the tyre sidewall or plastic surface. Buff off any excess with a clean cloth. For a flatter, more natural finish, dilute the product with water before applying.
Will Gommalux fling off the tyre onto the paintwork?
Fra-Ber formulated Gommalux to be non-greasy and non-sticky, which significantly reduces the risk of product slinging onto the paintwork or bodywork when the vehicle is driven. Applying the correct amount and wiping off excess before driving also helps.
Does Gommalux protect the tyre or just dress it?
