Vonixx SiO2-Pro Ceramic Spray Sealant 500ml

Ceramic Maintenance

Top up your coating's protection in minutes

SiO2-PRO delivers a fresh layer of silica straight from a spray bottle - restoring the beading, slickness and UV resistance of your ceramic coating without a full decon or re-coat. On uncoated surfaces it stands alone as a 4-month sealant.

Why SiO2-PRO

Serious protection, simple application

Everything a ceramic spray sealant should do, without the fuss.

  • Up to 4 Months Protection

One application on a dry, clean surface protects paint, wheels and trim for up to 4 months.

  • Hydrophobic Beading

SiO2 chemistry drives water into tight beads that roll off, taking dirt and grime with them.

  • UV Defence

Guards against UV fade on paint, plastics and headlights whether or not a coating is present.

  • Matte and PPF Safe

Protects matte paint, vinyl wraps and PPF without adding unwanted gloss to the finish.

How It Compares

SiO2-PRO vs a standard spray wax

Spray waxes fill a similar slot in the maintenance routine, but the chemistry and surface compatibility tell a different story.

Versatile Formula

From coated paint to matte vinyl - one product

Most spray sealants force you to reach for something different the moment you move from gloss paint to a wrap or interior trim. SiO2-PRO handles all of them, including matte PPF and interior plastics, without altering the finish character of the surface.

Gloss on the panels after a quick spray-and-buff is genuinely impressive for a maintenance product. I use it every second wash on a coated daily driver and the water still sheets off like the coating was freshly applied. Good 500ml bottle that goes a long way.

Used it on a matte-wrapped sedan - was nervous at first, but it left zero gloss and the hydrophobics are noticeably better. Took a bit of extra buffing on the larger panels but nothing unreasonable.

Three other spray sealants in the cupboard and this is the one I keep reaching for. Beading is tight, it flashes quickly, and it works over my existing ceramic without any streaking or hazing. Arrived well-packaged from Detailer SA too.

Drying-aid functionality is the feature that sold me, and it delivers. Spray it onto a rinsed panel, spread with a waffle-weave towel and the surface is dry, slick and protected in one pass. My wash routine is noticeably quicker now.

Questions

Frequently asked

How do I apply SiO2-PRO on a dry car?

Work on a cool, clean surface out of direct sunlight. Mist SiO2-PRO onto one panel at a time, spread evenly with a clean microfibre applicator or cloth, allow a brief flash time for the silica to bond, then buff off with a soft, dry microfibre. Work panel by panel to avoid the product drying before you buff.

Can I use SiO2-PRO as a drying aid?

Yes. After rinsing the car, mist SiO2-PRO directly onto a wet panel and spread or blow-dry it off. You'll lay down a fresh layer of silica protection while drying in one step. Durability on a wet application is shorter than a dry application, so use it regularly for best results.

Which surfaces can I use SiO2-PRO on?

SiO2-PRO is safe on paint (gloss and matte), clear plastics, headlights, wheels, metal trim, exterior plastics and interior plastics. On interior plastics it leaves a matte finish. It is also safe on PPF and vinyl-wrapped surfaces, making it one of the more versatile spray sealants in the range.

How long does SiO2-PRO last?

Applied correctly on a dry, clean surface, SiO2-PRO protects for up to 4 months. Frequency of washing, exposure to harsh conditions and whether the surface carries an existing ceramic coating will all affect real-world durability. On a coated car it extends and reinforces the underlying coating's hydrophobics.

Can I apply SiO2-PRO over an existing ceramic coating?

Absolutely - it is designed for exactly this. SiO2-PRO tops up the silica content of a ceramic-coated surface, restores the hydrophobic beading and sheeting behaviour, and adds UV protection between full decon and maintenance details. It is one of the most practical coating maintenance products you can keep in your kit.

Is SiO2-PRO safe on matte paint and PPF?

Yes. The product is specifically listed as safe on matte paint, PPF and vinyl wraps. On matte surfaces, apply and buff off as normal - it will not add artificial gloss to a matte finish. On interior plastics it also delivers a matte result rather than a shiny one, which suits most OEM-style interiors.

Do I need a machine to apply SiO2-PRO, or can I apply it by hand?

Hand application is the standard method. Spray onto a microfibre applicator pad or directly onto the panel, spread evenly, allow a short flash, then buff off with a clean microfibre towel. No machine is required. The spray format makes it quick for maintenance work between full details.

Can I layer SiO2-PRO over a wax or paint sealant?

SiO2-PRO works best on bare paint or over a ceramic coating. Layering over a traditional wax is possible but may reduce bonding and longevity, since wax residues can inhibit silica adhesion. For the best result, use SiO2-PRO on a properly decontaminated and clean surface, or as the topper on a fully cured ceramic coating.
