The Green Twister is best suited to finishing-stage products: liquid and paste waxes, paint sealants, glazes and light finishing polishes. It is too soft to cut effectively with compound or heavy cutting polishes - keep those for a firmer pad.
Which machine polisher is this pad compatible with?
The 6-inch Green Twister works on both dual-action (DA) polishers and rotary machines with a 5- or 6-inch backing plate. For wax and sealant application on a DA, a low to medium orbit speed is all you need.
Can I use this pad on fresh paint correction or PPF?
Yes. The ultra-soft foam is safe on freshly corrected paint and on the surface of paint protection film (PPF). It will not introduce swirl marks or marring when used at appropriate machine speeds with a finishing product.
How do I prime the pad before use?
Apply a few small dots of your chosen wax or sealant directly to the pad face, spread it across the pad by hand, then start your machine on a low speed before moving to the panel. This prevents product from flicking off and ensures an even first pass.
What machine speed should I run for wax application?
For wax and sealant application with a DA polisher, speeds of 2-4 (or roughly 3 000-6 000 OPM) are plenty. You are spreading, not cutting, so there is no need to push the machine hard. Lower heat means better product bonding.
How should I clean the pad after use?
Rinse the pad under lukewarm water immediately after use, working the foam gently with your fingers to release product residue. For heavier wax build-up, a pad cleaning brush or a pad washer works well. Allow the pad to air dry fully before storing - never force-dry with heat.
How many correction stages should come before using this finishing pad?
The Green Twister is the last pad in the process. Complete all cutting and polishing stages with firmer pads first, confirm the finish is swirl-free and haze-free under a proper inspection light, then switch to the Green Twister for your wax or sealant step.
Can I layer wax or sealant coats using this pad?
