Where exactly do you place the Magneto cloth?
The most common spot is directly below the door mirror housing, where drip water collects and runs down the door. The magnets hold it against the metal body panel there. You can also use it on any flat or curved magnetic surface that catches water after a wash.
Will the magnets scratch or mark the paint?
The magnets are enclosed inside the microfibre material, so there is no bare metal making contact with the paint. The cloth face that sits against the panel is standard soft microfibre, the same as you would use for any paint-safe drying towel.
Does it work on vertical surfaces like the door itself?
Yes. Because the magnets hold the cloth rather than relying on gravity or clips, Magneto can be mounted vertically, horizontally, or at any angle. As long as the underlying surface is magnetic steel, it will hold position.
Will it work on aluminium panels or plastic bumpers?
No. The magnets require a ferrous (iron-based steel) surface to grip. Aluminium body panels, plastic bumpers and composite panels are not magnetic, so the cloth will not hold on those surfaces without additional support.
How do you wash the Magneto cloths?
Machine wash at a low temperature (30-40°C) with a dedicated microfibre detergent or a plain, fragrance-free liquid. Avoid fabric softener, which clogs the fibres and reduces absorbency. Tumble dry on low or air dry flat.
How many cloths come in a pack?
Each pack contains two Magneto cloths, sized 27 x 7 cm each, so you can cover both door mirrors in one go without needing a second pack.
Can I leave Magneto on while driving?
These are intended for stationary use during and after washing, or while the car is parked. Driving at speed will likely dislodge the cloth, so remove it before moving the vehicle.
Does Magneto replace a proper drying process?
Not entirely. Magneto targets one specific problem: drip marks from mirrors and similar run-off points after the main drying is done. Use it as a final step after you have dried the car with your main drying towel, positioning it over any spots that continue to drip as the car settles.
