Which metals is M1 safe to use on?
M1 is formulated for use on brass, copper, aluminium, stainless steel, chrome, silver and most other common metals. If you are unsure about a specific alloy, test on a small, inconspicuous area first.
Can I use M1 on painted or lacquered metal trim?
M1 is designed for bare, unlacquered metal surfaces. On lacquered or coated metal trim, the polish may not perform as intended and could affect the clear coat. Stick to exposed bare metal for best results.
How do I apply M1?
Shake the bottle well and wear gloves before use. Dab a small amount onto a clean buffing cloth, massage it into the metal surface using circular or back-and-forth motions, and then buff to a shine with a clean section of the cloth. Repeat the process if heavy tarnish or oxidation remains.
Should I use M1 by hand or with a machine?
M1 is designed for hand application with a buffing cloth. For most exhaust tips, grilles and trim pieces, hand application gives you the control you need to work around edges and contours.
How long does the shine last after polishing?
M1 removes surface contamination and restores clarity, but it does not leave a protective coating behind. To extend the result, follow up with a suitable metal sealant or wax to slow re-oxidation and keep the surface looking sharp for longer.
Can M1 be used on exhaust tips that get very hot?
Yes. M1 is well suited to exhaust tips and is commonly used for that purpose. Ensure the surface has cooled fully before application, and buff off completely before the vehicle is run again.
How much product do I use per application?
