Do I need any water at all to use Lustradry?
No water is required. Lustradry is designed specifically as a waterless solution - spray it directly onto the surface, allow it a moment to moisten and loosen the dirt, then wipe off with two separate microfibre cloths. It can also be used as part of a traditional wet wash process if you prefer.
What surfaces can I use Lustradry on?
Lustradry is suitable for all exterior surfaces of the vehicle, including painted bodywork, glass, and exterior trim, without leaving streaks. Avoid interior surfaces or any area not intended for exterior detailing chemistry.
Is Lustradry safe to use on heavily soiled vehicles?
Lustradry is best used on lightly to moderately soiled vehicles - think fresh dust, light road grime, fingerprints and localised soiling like bird droppings. Heavily caked mud or thick contamination should be pre-rinsed where possible. Working panel by panel in small sections reduces the risk of dragging heavier grit across the paint.
What is the correct technique to avoid scratching?
Spray Lustradry from about 15cm, let it dwell briefly to soften the dirt, then use the first damp microfibre cloth to lift contamination by wiping in one horizontal direction. Follow immediately with a second, clean dry cloth to finish the panel. Never apply circular pressure on a dry, unlubricated surface.
