Which pressure washers does the V2.0 fit?
The Foam Cannon Pro V2.0 is compatible with Lavor, Parkside, WAP, Bennett Read, Kamran Enterprises and ResQTech pressure washers. What is the minimum pressure my washer needs?
Your pressure washer must produce at least 50 Bar (725 PSI) for the cannon to work. The cannon ships with a 1.25mm orifice pre-installed, which is optimised for machines running 110-150 Bar (1595-2175 PSI). A 1.1mm orifice is included in the box for machines running 90-110 Bar (1305-1595 PSI). A 0.9mm orifice is available separately for machines running 50-90 Bar (725-1305 PSI).
Which orifice size do I need for my machine?
Use the 0.9mm orifice for 50-90 Bar (725-1305 PSI), the 1.1mm orifice for 90-110 Bar (1305-1595 PSI), and the pre-installed 1.25mm orifice for 110-150 Bar (1595-2175 PSI). If your machine falls outside these ranges, contact us for guidance on the correct orifice. Getting the orifice size right is the single biggest factor in foam thickness.
How much shampoo do I put in the tank?
That depends on your shampoo's recommended dilution ratio. Most snow-foam shampoos work well at 1:10 to 1:20 (shampoo to water) in a foam cannon. Start at the lower dilution and adjust upward if you want thicker foam. Because the V2.0's new foam technology generates up to 30% thicker foam than the previous generation, you typically need less product than you'd expect.
What is the tank capacity?
The tank holds more than 1 litre of solution, which is enough to do a full pre-wash on a large bakkie or SUV without stopping to refill. The cap is leak-proof and stays sealed even when the cannon is held upside down or at steep angles while foaming wheel arches and the underside.
Can I use any car shampoo, or does it need to be a snow-foam product?
You can use any pH-neutral car shampoo diluted appropriately, but a dedicated snow-foam or pre-wash shampoo produces the best clinging foam. High-viscosity shampoos designed specifically for foam cannons tend to give the thickest, longest-dwelling blanket. Avoid products with heavy wax additives, as these can block the orifice over time.
How do I adjust the spray pattern?
The V2.0 features a 360-degree adjustable spray head. Rotate the nozzle to switch between a wide fan pattern for flat panels and a tighter, more concentrated cone for wheel arches, sills and underbody sections. The fan width and foam-to-air ratio can also be fine-tuned via the adjustment knob on top of the cannon body.
How do I clean and store the foam cannon after use?
After each session, empty any remaining solution from the tank, fill it with clean water and run the cannon for 20-30 seconds to flush the internal passages. This prevents shampoo residue from drying in the orifice and blocking the nozzle. Store the cannon with the tank empty and the cap loosely fitted to allow any remaining moisture to evaporate.
