Vonixx V-Plastic Ceramic Coating 20ml

Ceramic Trim Protection

Restore faded plastic and keep it that way

V-Plastic bonds to plastic and vinyl as a semi-permanent ceramic layer, renewing colour and repelling water, dirt and UV damage for up to two years. Whether you are reviving weathered cladding or protecting a fresh vinyl wrap, one application does the heavy lifting.

Why V-Plastic

Ceramic-grade results on every plastic surface

Protection that goes beyond a dressing or a trim spray.

  • Semi-Permanent Bond

Ceramic chemistry cures into the plastic for up to 2 years of lasting protection.

  • UV Degradation Shield

Blocks the UV exposure that fades, chalks and brittles plastic over time.

  • Hydrophobic Surface

Water and dirt bead and shed, keeping treated plastics cleaner between washes.

  • Renewed Appearance

Restores depth to faded trim and leaves a consistent, controlled-gloss finish.

V-Plastic vs. Standard Trim Dressings

Not all trim protection is the same

Silicone-based trim dressings and spray restorers get the job done short-term, but they wash off quickly, attract dust and need constant reapplication. Here is how V-Plastic stacks up against a typical dressing.

Built for Durability

Two years of ceramic protection from a 20ml bottle

Most trim dressings wash off after a couple of rains. V-Plastic cures into a ceramic bond that stays put, keeping plastics hydrophobic and UV-resistant through months of washing, sun exposure and road grime without needing constant reapplication.

Black bumper cladding looks like it came off the showroom floor. Two coats, let it cure properly, and the beading is excellent. Much better than any dressing I have used on trim.

Decent coverage from the 20ml - did all four door trims and the front and rear bumpers with some to spare. Takes patience to get an even coat on textured cladding, but the result holds up well through regular washes. 😊

Faded grey plastic on the rear wheel arches was embarrassing. V-Plastic darkened it right up and three weeks later it still looks the same after rain. Arrived well packaged from Detailer SA with everything I needed.

Questions

Frequently asked

What surfaces can I apply V-Plastic to?

V-Plastic is formulated for plastic surfaces: exterior bumpers, trim strips, cladding, interior dashboards and door panels, and vinyl wraps. It is not designed for painted panels, glass or rubber, so stick to plastic and vinyl substrates for best results.

How do I prep the surface before applying?

Thoroughly clean the plastic to remove loose dirt, then wipe down with an IPA-based surface prep on a clean microfibre towel. This removes wax, grease and any residue from previous products so the coating can bond directly to the plastic.

How do I apply V-Plastic?

Shake the bottle, then apply V-Plastic evenly across the surface using the included foam applicator pad. Work in manageable sections. If you want less gloss, wipe back the excess with a clean, dry microfibre towel before it flashes. A second coat can go on 3 hours after the first.

What are the flash and cure times?

Partial cure is reached at 6 hours - do not wet or wash the vehicle during this window. Full cure takes 72 hours. Try to apply in a sheltered area where the surface will stay dry for at least 6 hours after application.

How long does the protection last?

V-Plastic provides semi-permanent protection for up to 2 years on treated plastic surfaces. On new plastics, the coating can extend the material's life up to three times by blocking UV degradation and environmental contamination.

Can I use V-Plastic on new, undamaged plastic?

Yes, and it is actually a great preventative step. Applying V-Plastic to new plastics before they fade or become brittle helps lock in colour and resist UV-driven degradation from the start, rather than having to restore later.

Can I layer V-Plastic over another coating or dressing?

For best adhesion, the surface should be free of existing dressings, waxes or coatings before you apply V-Plastic. IPA wipedown as part of decon prep removes most residues. Layering V-Plastic on top of an existing product may prevent proper bonding and reduce durability.

How much coverage does a 20ml bottle give?

Coverage will vary depending on the texture and porosity of the plastic, but a 20ml bottle is sufficient for treating the trim and bumpers on a typical passenger vehicle. Rough or heavily textured cladding will absorb more product per square centimetre than smooth surfaces.
