Frequently asked
What types of adhesive will this remove?
It handles most common adhesive types - sticker glue, foam-tape residue, paper-label adhesive, dealership badge backing and light transfer marks. Heavy industrial adhesives or very old, fully cured epoxy may need a longer dwell or a second pass.
Is it safe to use on clear coat and painted panels?
Yes. The formula is designed to be safe on factory clear coat and painted surfaces when used as directed. Apply to a cloth or applicator rather than spraying directly onto the panel, and avoid prolonged contact by wiping away promptly once the adhesive has lifted.
Can I use it on glass and windows?
Yes, it works well on glass for removing sticker residue, old registration disc adhesive and tape marks. Wipe the area clean afterwards and follow up with a glass cleaner before applying any glass sealant or coating.
Is it safe on plastic trim and rubber seals?
It is suitable for hard plastic trim and mouldings. On soft rubber seals, be conservative - apply only to the adhesive residue itself rather than soaking the surrounding rubber, and wipe away quickly.
Do I need to decontaminate the panel before using this?
A basic rinse to remove loose dirt is sufficient before use. The Sticker Remover targets adhesive specifically, so you do not need to clay or iron-decon the panel first. That said, always do a full decon pass after removing the adhesive residue and before any polishing or coating step.
How long should I let it dwell?
For most sticker and tape residue, 20 to 30 seconds of dwell is enough to soften the adhesive so it wipes away cleanly. On thicker or older residue, let it sit for up to a minute, then agitate gently with a microfibre cloth before wiping off.
Can I apply a ceramic coating or wax directly after using the Sticker Remover?
Not immediately. After removing the adhesive, wipe the area down with an IPA (isopropyl alcohol) solution to clear any solvent residue and degrease the surface fully. Once the panel is clean and dry, it is ready for correction, wax, sealant or ceramic application.
How much product do I need per job?
A small amount goes a long way. For a single sticker or badge, a few drops on a cloth or cotton pad is sufficient. The compact format is sized for targeted spot work rather than panel-wide application, which keeps waste low and the product in your kit for multiple jobs.
