Frequently asked
What surfaces can I use the Roompia Interior Brush on?
It works well on textured hard plastics, door panels, centre consoles, climate control knobs, grab handles, and stitched or grained leather. Avoid using it on high-gloss piano-black trim or delicate screen coatings where bristles could cause light scratching.
Do I need to use it with a cleaning product, or does it work dry?
Both. For light dust and loose particles you can brush dry. For embedded dirt, sticky residue or stains, spray your interior cleaner or APC dilution directly onto the surface or onto the brush head, then agitate. The bristles carry the product into the texture and lift the grime so a microfibre can wipe it clear.
What interior cleaning products pair well with this brush?
Any water-based interior cleaner or all-purpose cleaner at an appropriate dilution for the surface works well. For leather, use a dedicated leather cleaner to avoid drying out the hide. Avoid solvent-heavy products on leather or soft trim as those need more careful application regardless of the brush used.
Will the bristles scratch leather seats?
The bristles are calibrated to be firm enough to agitate dirt without being so stiff they abrade soft materials. On most finished automotive leather it is safe, but test on a hidden area first, especially on aged, cracked or uncoated leather that may be more fragile.
Can I use this brush in air vents?
Yes, the compact head and bristle profile make it a good fit for vent slats. Work the brush dry or lightly dampened to dislodge dust from the fins, then follow with a microfibre or a detailing swab for the deepest sections.
How do I clean the brush after use?
Rinse the bristle head under warm running water and work out any trapped dirt with your fingers. If product has built up in the bristles, a small amount of shampoo or APC solution helps. Shake off excess water and store bristle-side up or hanging to let it dry fully before the next use.
Is this brush suitable for professional detailers or just home use?
It suits both. Professionals will find it useful as a dedicated interior agitation tool for door shuts, trim details and stitched upholstery during a full interior detail. For home users it makes routine cabin maintenance noticeably more thorough than cloth-only cleaning.
Can I use the Roompia Interior Brush on fabric or cloth seats?
Yes. It agitates fabric upholstery effectively when used with an appropriate fabric or upholstery cleaner. Work in small sections, agitate to lift the dirt into a foam, then extract or blot with a clean microfibre. It won't replace a wet-vac for deep stains but makes a meaningful difference on surface grime and light soiling.
