Rain hits the glass and just disappears at anything above 80 km/h. Did the full decon and two coats as recommended and the result is noticeably better than the single-coat effort I tried first. Proper product.
Buffing the haze needs to be done quickly - if you leave it too long it takes more effort to clear. Once it's off though, the beading is excellent and the glass looks genuinely cleaner after rain than before.
Roll-on applicator makes it far less messy than the spray versions I've used before. Arrived well-packed from Detailer SA, and the coating itself has held up through several washes without losing much beading.

Apply to clean, completely dry glass using the built-in roll-on applicator in straight, overlapping strokes. Let the product haze on the surface, then buff off the residue with a clean, dry microfibre cloth. Two coats applied back-to-back will give you the strongest hydrophobic effect and the best durability.
Yes. For the coating to bond properly, the glass should be clean and free of water spots, silicone residue and general road grime. A dedicated glass cleaner or a light clay treatment to remove fallout will give Glaco DX the best surface to bond to. Any contamination left on the glass will reduce durability and can cause uneven hazing.
Allow the product to haze fully before buffing - this typically takes just a couple of minutes in normal conditions. Do not let it over-cure or sit too long in direct sunlight before buffing, as it will become harder to remove cleanly. Work one window at a time to keep it manageable.
Durability depends on driving frequency, weather exposure and how often the glass is washed. Two coats applied correctly will noticeably outlast a single coat. Regular use of a wiper-blade-safe glass cleaner rather than an aggressive solvent will help preserve the coating between applications.
Yes - Glaco DX works on all standard automotive glass, including curved windscreens, side windows and rear glass. It is not formulated for plastic or polycarbonate surfaces such as headlight lenses or some rear windows on convertibles - check the material before applying.
Glaco DX is designed for hand application using its integrated roll-on applicator. Machine application is not recommended or necessary for a product of this type - the roll-on ensures even, thin coverage that bonds well and hazes uniformly for easy buffing.
It is best applied to bare, clean glass rather than over an existing sealant or coating. If a previous glass treatment is still active, its residue can prevent Glaco DX from bonding correctly. Strip the old product first with a glass-specific cleaner or light polishing of the glass before applying Glaco DX.
A properly applied and buffed layer of Glaco DX leaves a smooth, even surface that is generally compatible with standard wiper blades. As with most glass coatings, old or damaged wiper blades may chatter slightly on a freshly treated surface - it is worth fitting fresh blades at the same time for the best result.
