Yes. Clean, decontaminated rubber gives the best result and the longest wear. Strip any old dressing, brake dust and road grime before you apply. A dedicated tyre cleaner or APC at a moderate dilution works well here - rinse fully and allow the sidewall to dry before applying Black Devil.
Semi-gloss. It is noticeably darker and richer than a bare tyre, but it does not produce the high-shine, wet-gel look you get from silicone-based liquid dressings. It reads as a clean, natural finish that suits corrected and coated cars without looking overdone.

The wax base is designed to outlast typical dressings between applications, which is one of the reasons detailers use it on show cars and daily drivers alike. Exact longevity depends on wash frequency, road conditions and tyre scrub, but it is formulated to reduce how often you need to reapply.
Black Devil is a paste wax designed for hand application with the included sponge applicator. The paste format gives you controlled, even distribution across the sidewall, which is easier to manage by hand than by machine on a curved tyre surface.
Black Devil contains carbon black pigment, so it is formulated for standard black tyres. Using it on white-letter or coloured-stripe tyres risks staining those areas permanently. Stick to all-black sidewalls.
Applying Black Devil over a cured ceramic tyre coating would sit on top of the coating rather than bonding to the rubber, which may reduce the ceramic's performance and is generally not recommended. As a base layer under a ceramic, the wax could interfere with bonding. Use it on its own for the best result, on a clean, bare rubber surface.
