Frequently asked
What surfaces can I use this on?
Soft99 Anti-Fog Spray is designed for interior glass surfaces - windscreens, rear windows, interior mirrors - and is also safe on polycarbonate and acrylic helmet visors. Do not apply to exterior glass or painted surfaces, and avoid soft plastic trim that is not a visor.
How do I apply it correctly?
Start with a clean, dry surface. A quick wipe with an IPA solution removes oils and silicone that would otherwise shorten durability. Spray a light, even mist onto the glass, then spread and buff immediately with a clean, dry microfibre cloth until the surface is perfectly clear. Avoid applying in thick layers - a thin, even coat performs better.
How long does the anti-fog effect last?
Durability depends on how often the surface is cleaned and how much moisture exposure it receives. On a daily-driven windscreen, expect a solid anti-fog effect through multiple trips before reapplication is needed. Reapply when you notice fogging returning, typically after a few weeks of regular use.
Will it leave a hazy or greasy film on the glass?
No. When buffed correctly, it leaves a perfectly clear finish with no haze, no greasy residue and no distortion under headlights or sunlight. If you do notice any smearing, you have likely applied too much product - wipe with a dry microfibre and buff until clear.
Can I use it on my motorcycle or cycling helmet visor?
Yes. It is safe on polycarbonate and acrylic visors, which are the materials used in most motorcycle, MTB and motorsport helmet visors. Apply sparingly and buff thoroughly to avoid any residue in your line of sight.
Do I need to cure or wait before using the vehicle?
No cure time is required. Once you have buffed the surface to a clear finish, it is ready to use immediately. There is no flash time to wait out, making it practical to apply during a quick stop or before a drive.
Can I layer it with other interior glass products?
Anti-Fog Spray is a standalone treatment. Applying it over a water-repellent glass sealant on the interior may reduce its effectiveness, as hydrophobic coatings work against the hydrophilic mechanism the anti-fog film relies on. Use it on its own on interior surfaces for the best result.
Is it safe to use on tinted windows?
The spray is applied to the glass surface and is gentle enough for use on factory-tinted glass. If you have aftermarket window film applied to the interior, test a small inconspicuous area first to confirm compatibility with the film's coating before applying across the full surface.
