What is the MF1 ZeroR designed to remove?
It is made for removing product residues - ceramic coatings, panel wipes, waxes, sealants and quick detailers - from high-gloss and freshly corrected paint. The ultra-split fibres pick up residue efficiently rather than smearing it.
Why does the polyamide content matter?
Polyamide (nylon) fibres are finer and softer than polyester. At 30% polyamide, the MF1 ZeroR is significantly softer than standard cloths that typically contain as little as 10% polyamide. That extra softness translates directly to lower marring risk on delicate surfaces.
Is it safe on PPF and ceramic-coated paint?
Yes. The 0.13 denier ultra-split fibres and edgeless construction make it one of the safer choices for wiping down PPF, ceramic coatings, satin finishes and high-gloss trim. As with any cloth, keep it clean and free of contamination before use.
Can I use it with a machine polisher?
The MF1 ZeroR is a hand-use buffing cloth, not a machine polishing pad. It is intended for hand removal of residues after machine or hand correction, not for attaching to a DA or rotary.
How should I wash and care for the cloth?
Wash separately in warm water with a microfibre-safe detergent. Avoid fabric softeners and dryer sheets as they clog the split fibres and reduce absorbency and softness. Tumble dry on low heat or air dry. Do not wash with abrasive or lint-shedding items.
How many cloths do I need for a full decontamination and coating session?
For a full coating application it is worth having at least two or three MF1 cloths on hand - one or two for the initial residue removal pass and a fresh one for the final levelling wipe. Having a spare means you are not working a saturated cloth back into a freshly coated panel.
Is the debossed Gtechniq logo a problem on paint?
No. The logo is debossed into the fabric rather than embroidered or raised. There is no hard stitching or proud thread to drag across a panel, so it poses no greater risk than the rest of the cloth's surface.
