What surfaces can I use I1 Smart Fabric on?
I1 is suitable for all fabric surfaces including car interior seats, carpets, headliners, door cards and convertible soft tops. It is colour-safe and breathable, so it works on virtually any fabric type without altering the texture or appearance.
How do I prepare a surface before applying I1?
For interior fabrics, clean the surface thoroughly with Gtechniq I2 TriClean to remove soiling and residues before applying I1. For exterior fabrics and convertible roofs, use Gtechniq W5 Citrus All Purpose Cleaner neat on heavily soiled surfaces, or diluted at 5:1 with water for lighter contamination. The surface must be clean and dry before application.
How long does I1 Smart Fabric last?
On interior surfaces, I1 typically lasts between 6 and 12 months depending on how much use the surface receives. On convertible roofs, it can last up to 2 years due to lower abrasion contact.
Will I1 change the feel or look of my fabric?
