How much GWash do I use per bucket?
Add two caps (20ml) for lightly soiled vehicles or four caps (40ml) for heavily soiled vehicles into an empty 23-litre (5 gallon) bucket. Fill the bucket with water after adding the shampoo, ideally warm water, for best foam and cleaning performance.
Is GWash safe to use on ceramic coatings?
Yes. GWash is specifically formulated to work in harmony with the full Gtechniq coating range. Its pH neutral formula means it won't degrade or strip ceramic, wax or polymer sealant layers during a normal maintenance wash.
Will GWash damage PPF or vinyl wraps?
GWash's pH neutral chemistry makes it safe for use on paint protection film and vinyl wraps. The gentle surfactant system lubricates rather than aggressively stripping surfaces, so it's a solid choice for wrapped or filmed vehicles.
What is the recommended wash method with GWash?
Shake the bottle well before use. Work out of direct sunlight. Always begin on the upper surfaces of the vehicle and work downwards to avoid dragging heavier contamination across cleaner panels. After washing, rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove all surfactants from the paintwork.
Can I use GWash as a snow foam?
GWash is formulated as a traditional bucket wash shampoo rather than a dedicated snow foam lance product. While it produces high foam in a bucket, it is not designed for pressure washer lance dilution ratios. For a pre-wash foam stage, Gtechniq's dedicated snow foam products are a better fit.
Does GWash add any protection or gloss boost?
GWash is a wash-only product. Its primary role is to clean effectively without stripping existing protection. It is formulated to maximise gloss retention by keeping the underlying coating or sealant intact, rather than adding a new layer of protection itself.
Is GWash safe to use on wheels, glass and trim?
The pH neutral formula means GWash is gentle enough for use on painted wheels, glass and most exterior trim. It is not a dedicated wheel cleaner and will not decon ferrous fallout from brake dust - use a dedicated iron remover for that purpose alongside your regular wash routine.
How should I store GWash and what is its shelf life?
Store GWash in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and temperature extremes. Once opened, use within 12 months for best performance. Shake well before each use.
