What does ZviZZer Clean Top actually remove?
It targets polishing agent residues, lubricating oils and greases left behind after correction. These residues are invisible to the eye but will prevent sealants and coatings from bonding properly if not removed first.
Is it safe on all paint types, including dark and black paint?
Yes. Clean Top is a dedicated paint degreaser and is safe across all paint colours and clear coats. It does not stain, streak or dull the finish when wiped off correctly with a clean microfibre.
Can I use it on glass, wheels and trim as well as paint?
It is formulated primarily for painted surfaces. On glass it will degrease effectively before a glass sealant. Use with caution on bare trim or rubber, and test an inconspicuous area first on any non-paint surface.
How long should I let it dwell before wiping?
A brief dwell of a few seconds to about a minute is sufficient on most surfaces. You do not want it to dry on the panel, so work one panel at a time in a controlled environment out of direct sun.
Can I apply a ceramic coating immediately after using Clean Top?
That is exactly what it is designed for. Once wiped off and the solvent has flashed, the surface is chemically clean and ready for ceramic coating, spray sealant, carnauba wax or PPF installation.
Do I need to rinse the panel after using Clean Top?
No rinsing required. Wipe off with a clean, dry microfibre cloth and the surface is ready. Using a damp cloth will reintroduce moisture, so always use a dry microfibre for the wipe-off step.
How much product do I need for a full car?
Because you are spraying lightly and wiping off, the 500ml bottle covers a full vehicle comfortably. Product consumption depends on the number of panels and how much polishing residue is present, but a moderate spray per panel is all that is needed.
Can I use Clean Top between polishing stages as a panel cleaner?
Yes, it works well for clearing residue between compounding and finishing stages so you can assess the surface accurately. Just ensure the panel is dry before resuming polishing.
