What surfaces can I use C6 Matt Dash AB on?
C6 Matt Dash AB is designed for hard interior plastics - dashboards, door cards, centre consoles, pillar trims and similar hard trim panels. It is not suitable for suede or nubuck. If you are unsure about a specific surface, test in an inconspicuous area first.
Will C6 change the finish or add gloss to my trim?
No. C6 is specifically formulated to preserve the factory appearance of matte and textured plastics. It does not add gloss or leave a shiny or greasy film - the trim looks and feels natural after application.
How do I apply C6 Matt Dash AB?
Shake the bottle well and put on gloves. Pre-clean the surface with a microfibre cloth and a suitable surface cleaner, then make sure the area is completely dry. Spray C6 directly onto an applicator and wipe it evenly across the surface. Buff off any residue with a clean microfibre cloth.
How often should I reapply C6?
Gtechniq recommends reapplying C6 every 4 months for optimum protection. This keeps the antimicrobial properties and abrasion resistance performing at their best, particularly on high-contact surfaces like the dashboard and door handles.
Does C6 have a flash time or cure period before I can touch the surface?
The product is buffed off immediately after application rather than left to cure on the surface. Simply wipe on, then buff off the residue with a clean cloth. There is no extended cure window required before the car can be used.
Can C6 be used on exterior trim panels?
C6 is formulated and marketed as an interior trim coating. For exterior plastic and trim protection, Gtechniq offers dedicated exterior trim products that are built for the additional weathering and UV exposure those surfaces face.
Does C6 layer with other Gtechniq products?
C6 is a standalone interior trim treatment. It does not need to be combined with other coatings to function. If you are building a full interior protection system, pre-clean thoroughly before application and allow any other interior products to fully cure before applying C6 to trim panels.
How long does an opened bottle of C6 remain usable?
