How do I use Kamitoré on wheels?
Spray Kamitoré directly onto a cool, dry wheel and tyre sidewall. Let it dwell for 2-3 minutes - you'll see the formula reacting with brake dust and contaminants. Rinse off thoroughly with a strong stream of water. For heavy buildup you can agitate gently with a wheel brush before rinsing, but in most cases a rinse alone is enough.
Is it safe on ceramic-coated or polished aluminium wheels?
Yes. The formula is designed to be gentle on all common wheel finishes, including painted, clear-coated, polished aluminium, anodised and ceramic-coated surfaces. Avoid leaving it on bare uncoated magnesium wheels for extended dwell times and always rinse promptly after the reaction period.
Will it damage tyre rubber with repeated use?
No. Kamitoré is formulated to be safe for regular use on rubber. It lifts browning and embedded contaminants from the sidewall without degrading the compound. For best results follow up with a quality tyre dressing to restore and protect the rubber surface after cleaning.
How long should I leave it to dwell?
A 2-3 minute dwell is sufficient for most wheels and tyres. On very heavy brake dust or deep browning you can extend to 5 minutes, but don't let it dry on the surface. If it starts to dry in hot conditions, mist with water to keep it active, then rinse.
Does Kamitoré need to be diluted?
No dilution required. It comes ready to use in an 800ml spray bottle. Simply spray directly onto the wheel and tyre at full strength.
Can I use it on wheel arches and plastic trim?
Kamitoré is formulated specifically for wheels and tyres. It can be used on hard plastic wheel arch liners but rinse thoroughly and avoid prolonged contact with soft or unpainted plastic trim panels. Always test an inconspicuous area first if you're unsure about a surface.
How does it work on brown tyre staining specifically?
The brown discolouration on tyre sidewalls is caused by antiozonants migrating to the surface of the rubber. Kamitoré's formula penetrates the rubber surface to break down these oxidised compounds, which is why it outperforms plain car shampoo or an all-purpose cleaner on stubborn browning. Rinse away and the sidewall is ready for dressing.
Can I use Kamitoré as part of a two-bucket or foam lance wash routine?
Absolutely. Use it as your dedicated wheel and tyre decon step before you start the main wash. Spray on, let it react, rinse, then proceed with your snow foam or two-bucket wash as normal. Treating wheels first keeps contaminated runoff away from your freshly cleaned paintwork.
