How do I apply Reveal Strong correctly?
Spray Reveal Strong onto a folded microfibre polishing cloth, never directly onto the panel. Wipe the surface firmly and then remove immediately with a clean, dry microfibre cloth until the panel is completely dry. Inspect and repeat if contamination remains.
What surfaces is Reveal Strong safe to use on?
Reveal Strong is formulated for use on fully cured paint and hard, chemical-resistant surfaces. It is not intended for fresh or uncured paint, soft wraps, or delicate trim materials. If you are unsure about a specific surface, test in a small, inconspicuous area first.
Can I use Reveal Strong on glass or wheel surfaces?
The product is specified for fully cured paint and similarly hard, chemical-resistant surfaces. For glass and wheels, check compatibility with a spot test first, as the aggressive formula is optimised for painted panels and may not be necessary or suitable for those substrates.
Does Reveal Strong remove wax, sealants or coatings?
Yes, that is its purpose. Reveal Strong is designed to strip surface oils, fillers, adhesives and residues that can mask defects or prevent proper bonding of a new coating or sealant. Use it as part of your decon stage before correction or coating application.
What is the flash time or dwell time?
Reveal Strong should be wiped off immediately after application. There is no recommended dwell time - wipe on and remove straight away with a clean microfibre until the panel is dry. Leaving it to sit is not necessary and is not recommended by Rupes.
Can I use Reveal Strong before applying a ceramic coating or PPF?
Absolutely. Stripping surface oils, residues and fillers before coating or PPF installation is exactly where Reveal Strong earns its place. A clean, bare surface ensures proper bonding. Follow with an IPA wipe-down as a final panel check if your coating process calls for it.
Should I use Reveal Strong before every polishing job?
On heavily contaminated vehicles or panels where you suspect filler, adhesive or product build-up, yes. On a well-maintained car that has only had a standard wash and decon, a lighter panel wipe may be sufficient. Reveal Strong is the heavy-duty option for the toughest prep jobs.
What microfibre should I use with Reveal Strong?
Rupes specifies a clean, soft microfibre polishing cloth. Use a low-pile, lint-free cloth to apply and a fresh cloth to remove. Avoid foam applicators or coarse towels. Because the product lifts contamination, discard or wash the application cloth after use to avoid reintroducing residues on the next panel.
