Soft Bristle Mini Barrel Rim Brush Detailing Corporation.

Built for barrels

Gets into the spots other brushes skip

Most barrel brushes are too rigid to navigate the contours of a modern multi-spoke rim. This brush flexes where it needs to, getting the soft bristle head into the deepest part of the barrel without forcing the shaft or scratching the finish.

Why it works

Four reasons detailers keep this brush in the kit

Designed for the parts of the wheel a sponge or standard brush can't reach.

  • Finish-safe bristles

Softer than comparable brushes - safe on coated, lacquered and polished alloys.

  • Flexible shaft

Bends to follow the barrel curve and reach behind spokes without forcing.

  • Chemical resistant

Handles fallout removers, acidic wheel cleaners and alkaline degreasers without degrading.

  • Easy to rinse clean

Brake dust and product flush out quickly, keeping the brush ready for the next wheel.

Why it matters for your wheels

Soft Bristle Mini Barrel Rim Brush vs a typical cheaper barrel brush

Not all wheel brushes reach the same places or treat your finish the same way. Here is how this brush compares to a standard cheaper barrel brush on the things that actually count when you are working on alloys, chrome or coated rims.

Finish-safe agitation

Soft enough for coatings, tough enough for brake dust

Paired with a quality wheel cleaner or fallout remover, the soft, chemical-resistant bristles agitate contamination off coated, painted and polished wheels cleanly - no scratches, no residue, and a fast rinse-off after every wheel.

Questions

Frequently asked

Will these bristles scratch my coated or polished wheels?

The brush is specifically designed with softer bristles compared to standard barrel brushes, making it safer on painted, lacquered and coated wheel finishes. That said, always pre-rinse the wheel to remove loose grit before agitating with any brush.

How long is the brush and how far into the barrel will it reach?

The brush is 45 cm in total length. The flexible shaft allows it to bend and follow the inner curve of the barrel, so it can reach further than a rigid brush of the same length.

Is it compatible with dedicated wheel cleaners and fallout removers?

Yes. The bristles are chemical-resistant, so you can use the brush with acidic fallout removers, pH-neutral wheel cleaners and alkaline traffic-film products without the bristles deteriorating.

Can I use this on all wheel types - alloy, chrome, two-piece forged?

The soft bristles make it suitable for most wheel finishes, including clear-coated alloys, chrome and polished surfaces. For very delicate finishes like brushed or anodised aluminium, test on a small area first and use with a gentle pH-neutral cleaner.

How do I clean the brush after use?

Rinse the brush head thoroughly under running water after each wash. The bristles release brake dust and product buildup easily. If needed, work a small amount of car shampoo through the bristles and rinse again. Store hanging or bristle-up so the head retains its shape.

Can I use this brush with a ceramic-coated wheel?

Yes. The soft bristles will not scratch or abrade a ceramic coating on your wheels. Use your normal wheel cleaner, agitate gently, and rinse. The hydrophobic surface of the coating will actually make rinsing faster and the brush will glide more easily too.

Is the brush flexible enough to clean behind the spokes and near the hub?

The flexible shaft is the main advantage of this brush. It bends to angle around spokes and into the hub area where rigid brushes cannot reach without forcing, which risks scratching the finish or bending the brush head permanently.

How does this compare to a stiffer barrel brush for heavy brake-dust buildup?

For baked-on brake dust, a stiffer brush will shift contamination faster - but at the risk of marring delicate finishes. This brush is the better choice when the wheel has already been hit with a fallout remover or wheel cleaner to loosen the contamination first. Let the chemistry do the heavy lifting and use this brush for agitation, not scrubbing.
