Cyclone Technology
Deep clean without lifting a brush
The BenBow 002 spins cleaning solution at 7500 RPM and fires it onto the surface in a tight cyclone pattern, breaking up contamination through air agitation alone. No brushes, no scrubbing pads, no risk of introducing new marks to delicate surfaces.

How does it stack up?
BenBow 002 Classic Tornador Gun vs a typical cheaper foam gun or spray bottle
Detailers regularly ask whether a dedicated tornador-style gun is worth the step up from a basic foam gun or trigger sprayer. The table below covers the features that genuinely matter in this category, rated honestly. Where a cheaper alternative does something perfectly well, we say so.
| Feature | DetailerSA | Alternative |
|---|---|---|
| Cyclone agitation without mechanical scrubbing | Yes | No |
| Reaches tight interior cavities and vents effectively | Yes | No |
| 1000 ml on-board tank for extended use without refilling | Yes | Yes |
| Works with any cleaning solution or APC you already own | Yes | Yes |
| No compressor or power source needed | No | Yes |
| Aluminium and stainless steel build rated for commercial-volume use | Yes | No |
Built for Professionals
Aluminium and steel, made to handle a full day's work
At 780 g, the BenBow 002 is substantial enough to feel solid in your hand but light enough to use across a full fleet detail. The aluminium and stainless steel construction holds up to repeated chemical exposure, and the 1000 ml tank means fewer stops to refill on larger jobs.

Questions
Frequently asked
What cleaning solutions can I use in the BenBow 002?
You can fill the 1000 ml tank with any interior cleaner or APC that suits the surface you are cleaning. Avoid undiluted acids or solvent-heavy products unless the chemical's safety data sheet specifically confirms compatibility with aluminium and stainless steel. Always dilute according to the product manufacturer's instructions.
What compressor do I need to run this gun?
BenBow recommends a piston compressor with a reservoir of at least 100 litres and a flow rate of 300 L/min. The gun itself consumes 200 L/min at a working pressure of 6.2 Bar. A small hobby compressor will struggle to keep up during extended sessions and may cause inconsistent cyclone action.
Is the 1/4" connection compatible with my existing air lines?
Yes. The BenBow 002 uses a standard 1/4" male fitting, which is the most common connection size in South African workshops and detail bays. If your air line uses a different coupler type, a standard 1/4" BSP adapter will sort it.
Can I use the gun without solution, on air only?
Yes. The jet intensity is adjustable, and the gun can be run in air-only mode for blowing out dust from vents, grilles, speaker grilles and other dry interior cavities. Simply leave the tank empty or close the solution valve and use it as a directional air blower.
Will the cyclone action damage delicate surfaces like leather or fabric?
The cyclone stream lifts dirt without mechanical scrubbing, which makes it gentler than brushes on many surfaces. That said, pressure is adjustable - turn it down for leather and more delicate fabrics. Test on an inconspicuous area first, especially on aged or cracked leather where high-pressure air could force moisture into cracks.
How do I get the best results on heavily soiled wheel arches?
Load the tank with a diluted APC or your preferred decon product, set the jet intensity to high, and work in slow circular passes about 10-15 cm from the surface. The cyclone action will break up compacted mud and road grime without you having to scrub. Follow up with a rinse and you will see a significant difference in a single pass.
How do I maintain and clean the gun after use?
After each session, empty any remaining solution from the tank, then run clean water through the gun for a minute or two until the discharge runs clear. This prevents cleaning chemicals from drying inside the nozzle or corroding internal components. Periodically check the nozzle and tank seal for wear.
Is the BenBow 002 suitable for use on commercial vehicles and trucks?
Yes, it is one of the gun's strengths. The 1000 ml tank and consistent 7500 RPM cyclone output make it well suited for the kind of heavy contamination found on bakkies, trucks and construction machinery, where a standard cloth and bucket approach would take much longer and require far more physical effort.
