THE BENEFITS OF SPRAY PUMP ACID OR ALKALINE
Fra-Ber manual pressure spray pumps are available in two distinct versions for either acidic or alkaline products.
The acid spray pump is designed for use with acidic pH products such as decontamination car shampoos, as well as with professional products for removing specific materials such as cement.
The alkaline spray pump, on the other hand, is designed for use with alkaline pH products such as car pre-wash detergents, as well as pH-neutral shampoos. To know for certain which spray pump is best suited to your needs, check the labels of the cleaning products you use or intend to use, to determine their pH.
The pH scale:
Products with pH 1 to 6 are considered acidic;
Products with pH 7 are considered neutral;
Products with pH 8 to 14 are considered alkaline.
Main features:
Continuous spray button: the manual pressure spray pumps have a hold button that can be pressed to allow continuous spraying, making it possible to focus on applying the product without needing to continually press the button;
Filling level indicator: a clearly visible filling level indicator line makes it easier to fill the spray pump, leaving enough air to pressurise the device with the right amount of cleaner;
Safety valve: the spray pumps come with a special valve that serves to relieve the pressure from the container. Moreover, if the maximum allowed pressure is exceeded, the valve automatically kicks in to relieve the pressure;
Resilient materials and seals both models feature materials and seals able to withstand the main pH in their category;
2 L tank: the tank has a 2-litre capacity, which is generally sufficient for cleaning and washing operations without needing to top up;
Adjustable nozzle: allowing regulation of the spray angle to best suit your needs.
HOW TO USE ACID OR ALKALINE SPRAY PUMPS
Upon first use, the good working order of the safety valve and proper dispensing must be checked using clean water.
Fill with clean water and pump the air using the plunger;
Press the white safety valve button. When pressing the valve, listen carefully for the sound of pressurisation. Since the container is new, it is not yet pressurised and the sound is a sign that the valve is working properly;
Check that the water sprays properly.
Upon subsequent use, it will be necessary to:
Check that the spray pump is not loaded and pressurised before opening the dispenser;
If the container is pressurised, press the safety valve to decompress the tank;
Unscrew the nozzle;
Assess whether to fill with clean water first to remove any former product residue;
Pour the product mixture in, observing the recommended dilution ratios and without exceeding the maximum filling level indicator, which is crucial in ensuring the minimum required air to pressurise the device;
Screw the dispenser on tight;
Pump the air using the plunger;
Press the spray button to apply the product or block the device in continuous spray mode;
Turn the nozzle to adjust the spray angle.
Precautions: Never leave the pressure pump pressurised after use. Maintenance should always be performed.
HOW TO CLEAN THE ACID OR ALKALINE SPRAY PUMPS
Store pressure pumps out of the sun and above +4°C;
Store pressure pumps with the continuous spraying button released;
After use, we recommend that the pressure spray pump be fully disassembled and each of its parts safely washed for proper maintenance;
To prolong the life of the pressure spray pump, silicon can be applied to the seals for further protection and to keep them hydrated over time.
